COMPANY PROFILE
Exploring natural hydrogen and helium resources near major industrial hubs.
Geologic or white hydrogen is a renewable resource made naturally by the Earth. It’s potential as a low-carbon feedstock or fuel has spurred millions in new investment and created a world rich with opportunities for first movers.
HyTerra was the first company to list on the ASX with a focus on white hydrogen. It potentially has much lower production costs and carbon emissions than man-made hydrogen.
Our Nemaha Project in Kansas, USA holds 100% owned and operated leases across the emerging Nemaha High natural hydrogen and helium play fairway. Our Geneva Project in Nebraska, USA is a 16% earn-in interest in a Joint Development with Natural Hydrogen Energy LLC targeting natural hydrogen and helium.
White hydrogen.
An abundant natural source.
White hydrogen is naturally occurring and, as such, could have much lower production costs and carbon emissions than hydrogen separated from natural gas or from water electrolysis.
At HyTerra’s Nemaha Project, rainwater seeps underground where it reacts with iron-rich rocks at elevated temperatures to make hydrogen (H2).
White hydrogen is brought to surface using conventional oil and gas techniques, and as an energy-dense, low carbon fuel source, it has the potential to revolutionise industry and economies worldwide.
Our Nemaha Project in Kansas, USA, is prospective for natural hydrogen and helium.
HyTerra is leading the way in the world’s best geological hydrogen hotspot.
Â
Nemaha is located between Kansas City and Wichita in the centre of a major industrial and manufacturing hub. The project can be connected via railways, roads, and pipelines to a long list of potential offtakers nearby including ethanol and ammonia manufacturers, and petrochemical plants.
Â
Early drilling results demonstrate the presence of a working hydrogen and helium system.
HyTerra’s 100% owned and operated leases cover over 80,000 acres above the hydrogen-generating Mid-Continental Rift system.
Flagship Nemaha Project (Kansas) well sampling results show high concentrations of hydrogen up to 96% and helium up to 5%*.
Geneva Project (Nebraska) well testing results show hydrogen concentrations up to 44% and helium up to 13%^.
Leases are surrounded by important ammonia/fertilizer and helium production plants in the United States.
Kansas imports anhydrous ammonia from other U.S. states but is the USA’s largest helium producer.
