HyTerra is pleased to share that drilling has officially commenced at our Nemaha Project in Kansas, as reported by Stockhead.
The first well, Sue Duroche 3, is being drilled approximately 200 meters from the historic Sue Duroche-2 well, which recorded up to 92% hydrogen and 3% helium in 2009. Following this, we plan to drill the Blythe 13-20 well, with the option for a third well at our discretion.
This drilling campaign is part of a comprehensive 12-month program aimed at unlocking the potential of naturally occurring (white) hydrogen and helium. The Nemaha Project is strategically located between Kansas City and Wichita, placing it near existing infrastructure and potential offtakers, including ethanol and ammonia manufacturers and petrochemical plants.
We have also expanded our lease holdings from 9,607 to over 72,500 acres, securing a competitive position in the USA’s hydrogen heartland.
