Recent geopolitical events have put a spotlight on just how concentrated global helium supply really is and why supply diversification matters.
As highlighted in Stockhead, helium is critical to industries including semiconductors, medical imaging, research, space and defence, yet a significant portion of global supply remains tied to LNG production in the Middle East.
For HyTerra, this reinforces the strategic importance of exploring in Kansas, a proven jurisdiction with existing helium infrastructure and market access. At Project Nemaha, we have already recorded elevated helium alongside geological hydrogen, supporting our view that helium could represent an important early commercialisation pathway while we continue advancing our broader exploration program.
As our CEO Riley Kemp noted in the article, supply shortages in helium are not easily offset because demand remains steady across essential applications. That is exactly why new, reliable sources of supply matter.
Thank you to Stockhead for covering the broader helium market and the role emerging projects may play in helping diversify future supply.
