The Queensland government’s 2024-25 budget allocates $90 million to bolster the resources sector. This includes $4 million for the study and development of natural hydrogen. This funding supports the investigation into the viability and potential of natural hydrogen as a clean energy source. The support from Queensland’s government reflects a broader trend towards embracing innovative energy solutions such as natural hydrogen.
We are happy to see further investment into white hydrogen. Our Nemaha Project in Kansas, USA may not directly benefit, but the industry as a whole will continue to grow and mature through these investments.
The credibility and importance of natural hydrogen continue to be reinforced with many governments committing money to developing this industry including the US and Australian federal governments.
